The Ontario Public Service (OPS) offers several summer employment programs and opportunities in a variety of positions across ministries, related agencies and community groups. Jobs include some bilingual positions, and are available in many areas: recreation, culture, fish and wildlife, lab research, public education, travel and tourism and more. Ontario Rangers
This is an eight-week summer job program for youth in their 17th year. Participants live at one of 13 remote camps, working in natural resources management. Some rangers may also be able to gain two high school co-operative education credits.

Ontario Stewardship Ranger Program
This is an eight-week summer job program for youth in their 17th year. Participants work on a team of four rangers and one team lead. Rangers live at home and work on natural resources management projects in their own communities.

Summer Company
Summer Company is a great opportunity for enterprising young people who want to start and run their own summer businesses. The program provides hands-on business coaching, mentoring from local community business leaders and awards of up to $3,000.

Summer Jobs for Youth Program
Summer Jobs for Youth provides disadvantaged young people who are 15-18 years of age with summer jobs so they can get real work experience.

Aboriginal Youth Work Exchange
This program offers jobs focusing on resource management projects, job skills readiness training and personal development training. Each participant remains with the program for three summers.

Summer Law Student Opportunity
First-year and second-year law students have the opportunity to be an integral part of an expert legal team. Positions are available in almost every area of law and in places throughout the province.

Aboriginal Law Summer Program
This program provides first-year and second-year law students who are knowledgeable and experienced with Aboriginal communities and who have a demonstrated interest in Aboriginal law, with an opportunity to work on Aboriginal law and policy issues.
