Bright Future Alliance is a youth-led organization that develops strategies for young people to be empowered in ways that allows them to succeed while being their unique selves. BFA creates opportunities for young people to draw on their lived to support positive transitions in themselves and tackle pressing issues that impact the communities and places where they live.

Approach

Bright Future Alliance’s approach is practical, relatable, and hands-on. BFA creates programs that are fun, educational, economically and socially empowering. The purpose of these programs are to allow individuals to empower themselves through self-reflection, knowledge exchange, and various educational activities. We aim to address pressing issues such as poverty, education, violence, women issues, social injustice, and youth justice.Description

BFA is seeking Fundraising Intern, who can demonstrate the ability to learn how to develop fundraising strategies, create programs, develop grant proposals and plan events.

The Ideal Candidate

 Energetic, self-motivate and passionate

 Has a strong desire to be a part of positive social change

 Current University/College Student, with a preference for Social Science and Business students.

 Experience in student leadership, student government, event planning or have led extracurricular groups

 Solid communication skills  Strong computer skills – MS Office, Internet Research  A strong interest in the non-profit sector  Passion for social issues and social justice

This is mostly a volunteer 4 month internship position with a focus on learning and performing learned tasks; compensation is an honorarium. The training is provided by Bright Future Alliance who has paid professionals to provided exclusive training free of charge to the selected volunteer.

The intern position would require a commitment of an average of 3 hours a week. The ideal situation is the intern decides to continue and accept a paid part-time position upon successful conclusion of the internship.
