Trans Programs at The 519 Church Street Community Centre include a range of programs and services that seek to improve community supports and quality of life for trans people in Toronto. Trans Youth Toronto (TYT) has been running on Wednesday evenings from 5-9pm since 2001, providing a supportive, safer space for trans youth and youth exploring their gender identity to meet, share their experiences, get resources and referrals and participate in relevant programming. TYT is a peer-led program.

Healthy TransActions is a 19-month project that aims to engage trans youth in new opportunities for healthy, fun physical activity. The program recognizes the unique systemic, practical and personal barriers to participation in sports and recreation, healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle that many trans youth face. It will feature free programming including trans-only swim nights, boxing, yoga, climbing and many other amazing opportunities. We are seeking a Project Facilitator to plan and implement Healthy TransActions in collaboration with 519 staff, project partners and a diversity of trans youth.
