DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent will provide crisis intervention, counselling, case management, street outreach services, referral advocacy, liaison and practical assistance to street-involved youth in downtown Toronto.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with homeless and/or street-involved youth, including previous street outreach and drop-in services;
- Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention, counselling, case management and group facilitation;
- Knowledge of health promotion strategies and experience in preventative education;
- Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, drug/alcohol use, mental health issues, addictions and Harm Reduction Theory and Application;
- Skills in conflict resolution and anger management;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION:
Degree/diploma at post-secondary level in social sciences or a related field

HOURS OF WORK:
30 Hours per Week
Schedule may vary from week to week and may include mandatory evening shifts.

SALARY RANGE:
$44.318 to $49,879 per annum pro-rated
