We are committed to social justice and advocacy through the arts and have worked with organizations such
as the Girls Action Foundation, ArtReach Toronto, Laidlaw Foundation, ManifesTO and more!
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of PUBLICTY INTERN starting immediately. This position will require a minimum commitment of 6 hours a week. Training begins January 4th!
Key Learnings:
Under the supervision of the principle public relations consultant you will gain experience in:
Creating and updating media lists
Soliciting press coverage
Researching media outlets
Blogging
Social Networking
Event support where needed
In order to be successful in this position, you must:
Have sound writing and research skills
Be open?minded, creative and proactive
Be supportive of social justice movements, the LGBT/Queer community and anti-oppressive initiatives
Show an eagerness to learn and have motivation to grow in related fields
Posses a computer or laptop and access to the internet
From this position you will gain:
Experience in public relations and publicity
A portfolio of media relations experience
Letters of reference and opportunity to network with like minded individuals working within the not-for-profit, community and music industries.
This Position is NOT remunerated.
