JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Manager, Business/IT with the responsibilities for the overall reception area of the Community Centre including answering phones, taking message, typing, making referrals, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding of Computer Application including Word, Excel and Publisher.
Demonstrated ability to learn and to perform a large variety of job-related duties.
Ability to maintain co-operative working relationships with the public. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must meet the criteria as set out by the funders. Youth between the ages of 16 and 24 who are full time students and returning to school full time in the fall of 2010.
High school diploma and/or combination of education/work experience related to the position.
KNOWEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skill in the use CPR and First Aid Procedures.
Salary Scale: Summer Contract - Student Rate
$10.49/hr + 6% vacation and mandatory Employment Standards benefits
