Ryerson Serves
The Connections to Campus (C2C) network brings together staff from across student services with the intention of collaborating to create a more vibrant campus community at Ryerson University. Ryerson Serves is a day-long community service opportunity being organized by members of the C2C network.  During this day, students will come together to perform service at a variety of agencies across Toronto.
Program Mission
·      Generate opportunities for Ryerson students to engage in community service across the greater Toronto area
·      Expose Ryerson students to a culture of civic responsibility, social justice education, and global awareness
·      Encourage community agencies to connect and engage with Ryerson helping to create a vibrant connection from our campus to our wider Toronto community
Our Partners
Community partners such as the Toronto Housing Commission, Good Shepherd Ministries, Toronto Shoreline Clean Up, and Daily Bread Food Bank have agreed to host students to assist with projects and initiatives that will most help their organization.
Critical Reflection
Critically reflecting on our experience will be an integral part of Ryerson Serves. Students will reflect in smaller groups at their community placements and join together at the end of the service day to convey their experiences to all participants. In doing so, we hope to facilitate opportunities for transformative learning and sharing among our students.
Participants and Logistics
Ryerson Serves will be taking place on Saturday September 11, 2010 from 9:00am-4:00pm. We are inviting various staff and faculty from across the University to join us in this initiative and community agencies who might be interested in hosting students to let us know about their work and how we can help.
As an organizing committee, we hope you will join us in powerfully connecting our students and Ryerson to the greater Toronto community. For further information please contact:
