WORKSHOPS: - Professional Communication – Conflict Resolution & Mediation – Program Planning & Reporting - Diversity & Inclusion – Being An Effective Facilitator/Teacher

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: WWN.TESOL Cycle 2 Professional Development Workshops are a series of facilitated discussions and activities about various topics that will strengthen the professional capacity of our project participants. The series comprises of 5, 3-hour sessions led by 1 experienced facilitator per workshop.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION: - 1 to 3 years of facilitation or diversity training experience and a natural ability to facilitate dialogue – Residency in, or familiarity with, at least one of the 13 priority neighbourhoods – Ability to turn conflict into learning – Ability to relate well with people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds – Ability to work independently – Enthusiasm, positive sense of humor and can do attitude – Well versed on a variety of topics related to professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS: Select and prepare a 3-hour agenda for each workshop (maximum of 2) that you wish to facilitate. Please include a list of equipment and/or supplies required for the workshop. When creating your agenda, ensure that there are opportunities for dialogue, and significant opportunities for activity-based learning.
