Cliffcrest Community Centre is seeking motivated and qualified P/T Youth Engagement Workers to join our team in providing youth programs and services to at-risk youth ages 12-15 within the Eglinton East/Kennedy Park Community. 

Responsibilities: 

Familiarity with Positive Youth Development philosophy, Youth Engagment Strategies and Developmental Assets framework.

Assist in the development and organization of appropriate activities and programs that are specific to the interests/needs of youth in the Eglinton East/Kennedy Park Community.

Supervise all youth, programs and activities 

Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all participants.

Establish positive and healthy relationships with youth, volunteers and co-workers.

Adhere to all policies and procedures of Cliffcrest Community Centre and its partners. 

 

Qualifications: 

Combination of education  in related field and minimum of  two (2) years work experience; 

Strong knowledge and experience working with at- risk youth and within priority communities;

Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and written and verbal communication skills;

Available to work evenings and some weekends;

Strong organizational and administrative skills;

Knowledge of MS computer applications and other office related software.
