The Ontario Black History Society (OBHS) is eager to work with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) to provide an educational experience for young people. In cooperation with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, a $1000 scholarship, to be awarded to black students in their final year of high school, who aspire to a career or will enrol in a program in chartered accountancy at a post-secondary institution will be made available.
Applicants to the scholarship would have to submit a 750 word letter detailing their GPA, academic achievement, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, and reason(s) for pursuing a career in chartered accountancy. Students would also be required to submit a transcript of their grades, as well as two letters of recommendation (preferably one from a business studies teacher, addressing aptitude for business studies, although not necessary).
