Women's Health Leadership Program

The Women's Health Leadership Program is being offered by OWHN to develop and strengthen the capacity of women and communities across Ontario to take action on their health issues. The program, funded by Echo: Improving Women's Health in Ontario, seeks to amplify women's voices in the development of health policy, research and services.

The Women's Health Leadership Program brings women together from across Ontario through training retreats that:

  • Help build a greater understanding of the ways sex and gender affect health and health care.
  • Offer women the leadership tools and skills to work towards improving the quality of women's health and health care in their communities.
  • Provide opportunities to network with women who are active in women's health.

This program is designed for women who are motivated and interested in women's health issues and who are already actively engaged in their communities. The program seeks to recruit women who are committed to being active in women's health issues in their communities following the retreat.

This is an ongoing program and further upcoming retreat dates and information will be posted on this webpage in the near future.

The Level 1 application form and information about the program are available on OWHN's website at: www.owhn.on.ca
