The CITY Leaders in the Neighbourhood program is accepting applications and is open to racialized youth who are:

-18 to 24 years old
-Working or volunteer in a community-based agency, project or initiative in one of Toronto’s underserved communities OR live in one of the 13 Priority Neighbourhood
-Interested in further developing their Leadership and management skills to build a career in the Social Service Sector

Join us in a conversation about community care, self-care and burnout in community-based work and work with young people. Through panel
discussions and arts-based activities, we will identify different ways oppression and stress impacts individuals and communities; and share
tools we can use to name and begin to address stress, burnout and trauma at a personal, community and institutional levels.

Victim Services Toronto Youth Leaders have redesigned the Teens Ending Abusive Relationships ( T.E.A.R.) Presentation based on youth feedback to be youth inspired and driven. Our youth leaders are ready to co-present T.E.A.R. with a trained presenter to their peers and encourage healthy relationships and speak out against domestic violence.

Taking Pictures. Telling Stories is a 6 week introduction to the Art of Photography. In these workshops participants will develop their artistic eye, learn what qualifies a good photo and how to create a photo that tells a story. Each week we will focus on a different aspect of shooting and visual storytelling and participants will be working towards building their final piece that will be showcased in an exhibit.
